The workshop of TUSAGA AKTIF (CORS-TR) was held in DSI Conference Hall in Ankara, on November 28-29, 2008.

There were more than 450 peopled attended to the conference, among them are the Faruk Nafiz Özak (Minister of Public Works and Settlement), Mehmet Zeki Adli (General Manager of General Directory of Land Registry and Cadastre) , Dr. Eng. Colonel Kadri Pamukoglu (GCM), Prof. Dr. Ömer Cebeci (TUBITAK), Bülent Yagci (State Meteorological Service), Haydar Koçaker (State Hydraulics Works), Prof. Dr. Dursun Koçer (Rector of IKU), Prof. Dr. Çetin Bolcal (Vice Rector of IKU), Prof. Dr. Kamil Eren (Project Director), Prof. Dr. Turgut Uzel (Director of Ins. Of Science and Tech.), Ali Fahri Özten (Director of Chamb. of Survey and Cadastre Engineers).

The first day, the opening ceremony, sessions and a panel and the following day, the on-site demonstrations of the various brands (Trimble, Leica and Magellan) that produce GPS rovers took place.

It was decided that the TUSAGA-AKTIF (CORS-TR) system that made of by 146 stations will be public-free for at least 1 year. This decision aims to let the public benefit from the system and eventually learn how much it's useful.
